Carter Holt Harvey Woodproducts is looking for a Grounds Person to provide general landscaping services and small maintenance tasks at our mill in Kawerau.  Working in the Maintenance team and reporting to the Site Services Coordinator, you will ensure the site is always looking it’s best.

This is a Monday to Friday role, 40 hours a week. Flexibility available for start/finish times.

The role:

  • Maintaining site gardens including weed removal, lawn mowing and tree trimming
  • Support the site cleaning protocols, including rubbish disposal
  • General site housekeeping and property maintenance and small repairs
  • Follow maintenance schedules for checks and work completed
  • Liaise with contractors and monitor repairs/maintenance completed
  • Follow site health and safety standards at all times

About you:

  • Physically fit to complete manual labour tasks
  • Previous experience in a similar role  
  • Experience operating machinery or forklifts an advantage
  • Good communicator
  • Able to follow safety requirements
  • Self-motivated with a can-do attitude
