Production Planner

Carter Holt Harvey (CHH) are looking for a detail orientated and proactive Primary Planner, based at our Kawerau Sawmill. Reporting to the Timber Planning Manager, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the allocation of timber resources to meet our operational and commercial objectives. This is a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials through our supply chain.

This is a Monday to Friday position, 40 hours per week.

The role:

• Collaborate with the Timber Planning Manager to develop and execute the Master Production Schedule
• Develop, distribute and monitor the daily and weekly plans for the Drymills, and the associated Production Orders
• Maintain, monitor and reconcile master data
• Support inventory management to ensure optimal stock rotation, working capital and stocktake accuracy
• Manage supply chain and sales relationships, including supporting the National Supply Chain team and resolving issues
• Monitor reporting metrics and identify trends
• Produce compliance reports and identify potential site issues
• Respond to and escalate production variations as needed
• Participate in weekly and monthly production meetings
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in fibre usage and cost efficiency
• Ensure all operations comply with site health and safety standards

 About you:

You will have relevant experience in a planning position, preferably in Timber but we are open to other industry experience

• Preferably you will hold a logistics-related qualification
• Experience with SAP or Business Central
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate to advanced level)
• Strong analytical and logical thinking skills
• Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement initiatives
• Previous experience in timber manufacturing and/or logistics is advantageous
