Shift Fitter - Marsden Point
Carter Holt Harvey - Futurebuild LVL Ltd is seeking a qualified Shift Fitter to join our team at Marsden Point, to work in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, this role promotes and supports a culture of high performance, engagement, a commitment to safety at all levels while focussing on maintenance best practice.
Roster follows the maintenance team on 4-on 4-off (2-days 2-nights), made up of 12-hour shifts, averaging 42 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Take ownership of your own area, performing preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on plant equipment and machinery
- Identifying and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Planning and executing corrective maintenance, to maintain plant reliability and minimise downtime
- Completing work to a high standard utilising best practice
- Work closely with the production teams to improve equipment reliability and drive optimisation
- Maintain and update records including bills of materials, PM’s, manuals, drawings and Business Central records and entries
- Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards
- Quality assurance of any work carried out by external contractors
You will have:
- Relevant trade qualification
- Boiler certification an advantage
- Analytical troubleshooting ability for breakdowns
- Strong safety and compliance values with a quality focus
- Be reliable
- Ability to deliver results on time to meet internal customer expectations
- Team player who sets high standards for themselves
- Good numeracy and problem-solving skills
- A high level of accuracy and product quality as per specifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels and departments
- Strong organisational skills with a drive to meet deadlines
- Computer literacy
- Continuous improvement initiatives
